Associate Vice President, Operational Risk & Control, Consumer Banking Wealth Management Operations Greater Hong Kong Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Operational Risk and Control within its Consumer Banking Wealth Management Operations. The successful candidate will be a key player in the Risk and Control team, responsible for fostering a strong risk culture, maintaining robust control frameworks, and proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks. This role involves conducting regular risk and control self-assessments, enhancing control frameworks, leading incident management, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure expert risk advice and seamless control implementation. The AVP will also be involved in reporting and governance, contributing to operational transformation initiatives, and championing a risk-first mindset within the team. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5-8 years' experience in operational risk, control functions, audit, or back-office operations within the banking sector, with a preference for those with a background in consumer banking or wealth management. The role requires a strong understanding of operational risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and incident management protocols, particularly in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to analyze complex data, influence cross-functional teams, and senior management, and be highly analytical, proactive, and resilient with a detail-oriented approach to process execution.
