Head of Legal, APAC

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal for the APAC region. This senior leadership role is pivotal in providing legal support for private markets, investment management, and business operations across the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on a wide range of legal matters, including fund formation, fundraising, governance, and investor issues. Strategic advice on regulatory developments, investment activities, and business initiatives is also a key aspect of the role. The Head of Legal will lead a team, manage external advisers, and ensure the implementation of legal best practices, governance, and risk management frameworks. To excel in this position, candidates must have a minimum of 15 years' of post-qualification experience, with a strong background in private funds, alternative investments, and asset management. Deep knowledge of investment transactions, fund structures, and regulatory matters is essential. The role requires proven people leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to partner with senior executives and global stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, with excellent negotiation, drafting, and advisory skills, and be adept at managing complex cross-border legal issues. Collaboration, resilience, and a proactive approach to delivering practical and commercially focused legal solutions are also key attributes for the role.
