Vice President, Business Legal & Compliance, Global Financial Markets Greater Hong Kong Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Business Legal and Compliance in Global Financial Markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and assessing regulatory and market developments related to digital and virtual assets, and communicating the implications to stakeholders. This role involves providing legal and regulatory support for various initiatives, representing the legal and compliance team in cross-business collaboration, and participating in projects to share knowledge and best practices. The Vice President will also be tasked with providing timely and practical legal and regulatory advice, managing legal and regulatory risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Applicants must have a law degree from a common law jurisdiction, with a preference for Hong Kong qualification, and a minimum of 10 years' post-qualification experience at the Vice President level, or 5 years at the Assistant Vice President level, in a reputable law firm, financial institution, regulatory body, or comparable organization. A strong background in banking or financial services, as well as knowledge of digital and virtual asset products and regulatory frameworks, is highly desirable. The role requires excellent legal analysis, drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to build strategic relationships and effectively manage stakeholders. The candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and have a strong sense of ownership with a willingness to engage in continuous learning.
