Interim Head of Finance

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance to play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of the finance function. This senior leadership position involves close collaboration with the Chief Finance Officer, Directors, Senior Leadership Team, and the Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all financial decisions are backed by timely, accurate, and insightful management information, robust financial analysis, and constructive challenge. Key responsibilities include financial planning and performance, commercial finance, compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, technical accounting, balance sheet management, and the development of a strong financial control environment. The role also requires leading both the Finance Business Partnering team and the Financial Accounting team, supporting long-term financial planning, and organizational transition readiness. Applicants for the Head of Finance role at the company should have substantial senior leadership experience in finance, with a proven track record of leading large teams. A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience is essential. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and a strong background in commercial finance and technical accounting. The ideal candidate will have a history of implementing change, including system improvements and cost efficiencies, and be adept at managing external audits.
