Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading accounting and corporate consolidation teams, overseeing financial reporting, and managing BPO delivery. This role requires a strong focus on financial controls, processes, and systems, as well as the ability to support various financial functions such as audits, treasury, and business transformation. The Head of Accounting will also be involved in M&A activities, and must be prepared to participate in cross-functional meetings to resolve business issues. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with an MBA being preferred. A minimum of 7 years' financial accounting and controlling experience is required, with a background in a Big 4 firm and experience in an international corporate setting being a plus. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in leading and developing teams, as well as expertise in areas such as IFRS, BPO management, and financial systems improvement. Fluency in English and Japanese is essential, and a CPA qualification is a desirable addition. The ideal candidate will also have experience in ERP migration, collaboration with IT on software implementation, and a strong understanding of financial tools and technologies.
