About the Role
Remote (anywhere in Germany)
The Company is seeking an Interim Head of M&A to lead its ambitious buy-and-build strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full deal cycle, including target identification, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, closing, and integration planning. This role demands a highly operational M&A professional with a proven track record in end-to-end M&A execution, particularly within private equity-backed environments. Experience with smaller, founder-led businesses and technology-enabled service models is highly relevant. The Interim Head of M&A will be expected to lead multiple bolt-on acquisitions, prioritize the target pipeline, and engage with business owners, management teams, and intermediaries. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and investment case preparation skills are essential, as is the ability to coordinate and manage all aspects of the M&A process. The ideal candidate for the Interim Head of M&A position at the company will have a strong background in due diligence, deal structuring, and SPA negotiations. Experience in post-merger integration and the development of 100-day plans is also required. The role calls for a professional who can combine strategic oversight with hands-on execution, and who possesses strong stakeholder management skills. Fluency in German and English is a must. The Interim Head of M&A will be instrumental in establishing clear M&A governance, reporting, and pipeline management, and will be expected to prepare decision-making materials for the CEO, Board, and investors. This is a key leadership role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth and expansion.
