Vice President, Commercial Portfolio Management

The Company is in search of a VP Commercial Portfolio Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the origination and underwriting of commercial, franchise, and owner-occupied commercial real estate loans, as well as managing client relationships. This role involves analyzing loan data, preparing reports and opinions for loan officers, performing credit inquiries, and working closely with the Relationship Manager on proposals and loan approval presentations. The VP Commercial Portfolio Manager will also be involved in the generation and review of loan documents and coordinating loan closings. Applicants for the VP Commercial Portfolio Manager position at the company should ideally have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience, with a minimum of four years in banking, focusing on relationship management and commercial lending. A strong background in client prospecting and a proven track record in business development are essential. The role requires excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills, as well as a working knowledge of financial analysis, accounting theory, and the ability to communicate effectively. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, demonstrate initiative, and have the ability to understand and analyze financial statements, cash flows, and credit.
