The Company is seeking a Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) to take on a pivotal role in the organization. The CSO will be responsible for technology and innovation leadership, owning the development of the company's processes and products. This includes taking the current technology from a TRL of 4-5 towards pilot projects and demonstrations, as well as defining the scientific strategy and R&D roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical and scientific background, with experience in areas such as chemistry, materials science, biotech, or industrial process engineering. A generalist approach is valued, with a focus on the ability to design and run a multi-faceted innovation pipeline. Experience in mineral processing, environmental remediation, or carbon capture, and familiarity with IP strategy and licensing as a revenue model, are particularly advantageous. The CSO will also be involved in team and partnership management, building and leading the technical team, and supporting engagement with industrial co-innovation partners. The role is well-suited to a candidate with a strong interest in post-mining environmental management and the mining/industrial ecosystem. The company is at a pre-seed, pre-revenue stage, with a clear focus on circular economy and carbon-neutral technologies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a funded, de-risked venture with a clear revenue path and will be considered a co-founder, with the potential for equity in the company.
