Dean, Russ College of Engineering & Technology

The Company seeks a Dean to serve as the chief academic and administrative officer of its engineering and technology college. The Dean will shape and implement a strategic vision, strengthen academic programs, develop new educational offerings, advance high-impact and externally funded research, and foster interdisciplinary partnerships. The role also includes securing the people, financial support, and philanthropic resources needed for continued growth, while aligning college priorities with broader institutional and regional needs. As a visible, collaborative leader, the Dean will engage faculty, staff, students, alumni, industry, government, and community partners, and advocate for the college’s priorities. Candidates should hold an earned doctorate in an appropriate discipline, qualify for appointment as a tenured full professor in the college, and demonstrate effective academic leadership. The successful candidate will bring strategic vision and disciplined execution, along with strong relationship-building, communication, and advocacy skills. They should be approachable and transparent, committed to active listening and shared governance, and able to foster a collaborative environment where the academic community can thrive.
