The Company is seeking a Vice President / Chief Legal Officer to oversee the legal affairs of its nationwide operations. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted business advisor, providing practical and business-focused legal guidance to support the organization's growth and operational excellence. This role involves directing legal support for major infrastructure projects, managing various legal proceedings, and ensuring compliance with a wide range of federal, state, and local laws. The Chief Legal Officer will also be responsible for policy and procedure development, internal investigations, and leading legal due diligence for corporate transactions. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor degree, be an active member of a State Bar, and have at least 15 years' of progressive legal experience, with a focus on the design and construction industry. Extensive knowledge of public procurement requirements, construction industry contract forms, and experience in negotiating and managing construction contracts and disputes is essential. The role requires a candidate who is adept at identifying and mitigating legal risks, and who can effectively manage and mentor a legal team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a strong ethical foundation, and the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization.
