President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Company seeks a President and Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management, advancing its mission and guiding sustainable growth. In partnership with the Board, the CEO will translate long-term priorities into plans, budgets, and measurable outcomes; strengthen programs, partnerships, and organizational visibility; and ensure safety and risk management remain central. The role leads fundraising and external relations, cultivates donors and community partners, and oversees staff, volunteers, finances, facilities, and organizational operations. The CEO also serves as the Board’s principal staff liaison and steward of the organization’s assets and resources. Candidates should bring at least 10 years of leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization, along with significant fundraising experience and strong financial and business acumen. Required strengths include strategic thinking, persuasive communication, relationship-building, people leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with a nonprofit Board and diverse stakeholders. Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and organizational sustainability is important. Commitment to inclusion and expanding opportunities for people with disabilities, veterans, and underserved youth is essential; boating or sailing experience and familiarity with waterfront operations are advantageous.
