Managing Director, Market Surveillance Compliance

The Company is seeking a Global Head of Market Surveillance Compliance to take on a senior leadership role with a focus on designing, overseeing, and enhancing the global market surveillance compliance framework. This includes trade and electronic communications surveillance, ensuring the program is robust, risk-based, and technology-enabled, and in line with regulatory expectations across various jurisdictions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the market surveillance compliance program, managing a global team, and partnering with various stakeholders to identify and address emerging risks, drive program enhancements, and support a culture of compliance and market integrity. The role also involves strategic development of surveillance controls, coordinating with project managers for tool requirements, and providing independent oversight of first-line activities. Candidates for this role at the company should have extensive experience in market surveillance, compliance, risk management, analytics, or a related control function within a global financial institution. A strong understanding of surveillance methodologies, regulatory expectations, and experience with analytic technologies is essential. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in managing complex regulatory initiatives, engaging with regulators and senior executives, and a deep knowledge of financial markets and trading products. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree or relevant certification preferred, and at least 10 years of related experience. Core competencies include strategic leadership, regulatory and compliance expertise, risk assessment, and strong communication skills.
