Vice President, Operational Risk Greater Boston, MA Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operational Risk to strengthen risk management and controls across the business. The role partners with business leaders and process owners to identify and assess risks, lead risk and control self-assessments, evaluate control effectiveness, and monitor key risk indicators. Responsibilities include analyzing incidents and emerging risks, conducting root cause analysis, driving remediation, and providing risk oversight for new products, processes, technology, and business changes. The Vice President will also prepare and present reporting to senior leaders and governance forums while promoting proactive risk identification and clear first-line accountability. Candidates should bring strong experience in operational risk, business risk and controls, operations, audit, compliance, or internal controls, preferably in financial services. Relevant expertise includes risk and control self-assessments, control design, key risk indicators, issue management, remediation, and root cause analysis. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to translate risks into practical controls and constructively challenge senior stakeholders. Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills are required, along with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
