Greater Brooklyn, NY Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a VP of Asset Management to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and executing asset-level business plans, including hold/sell, repositioning, and value-add strategies. This role involves owning budgets, reforecasts, and long-range projections to drive NOI and cash flow, as well as holding property management teams accountable to various targets. The VP will also be involved in underwriting and managing capital projects, renovations, and unit upgrades, and will partner with the Capital Markets team on refinancings, debt compliance, and lender reporting. Additionally, the role includes supporting acquisitions and dispositions through diligence, underwriting, and transition, and preparing various reports for investors, owners, and lenders. Applicants for the VP of Asset Management position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in real estate asset management, with at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role. A background in conventional multifamily real estate is required, with a preference for candidates with multi-market U.S. experience. The role demands advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills, as well as a working knowledge of debt structures, loan covenants, and JV reporting. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, capable of presenting and influencing at the CEO and ownership level, and will hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field. An MBA or CFA is a plus. The VP will also be expected to lead and develop a team of two Asset Managers.
