Chief Physician Executive

The Company is seeking a Chief Physician Executive (CPE) to join their dynamic team. The CPE will be a key leader in the strategic vision and delivery of care, with a strong focus on establishing and implementing processes and protocols to ensure high-quality, reliable, and value-based care. This role involves leading the clinical enterprise, maintaining strong relationships with medical partners, and driving clinical transformation and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a medical degree, be board-certified, and have a valid New York State medical license or be eligible for one. A minimum of 7 years' of relevant work experience in a healthcare leadership position, including managed care contract negotiations, is required, with a preference for those with a background in a multi-facility healthcare organization. The CPE will be responsible for executive physician leadership, clinical expertise, and the development of physician talent. This includes recruiting and credentialing, as well as leading physician service improvement efforts. The role also involves aligning the clinical care delivery team with the highest standards of quality and safety, particularly in the areas of population health and clinical research. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in executive healthcare leadership, with a focus on operational responsibility within an integrated health system, and experience in leading large-scale clinical operations. A strong background in clinical practice, particularly in the context of a high-performing healthcare system, is essential. The CPE will also be involved in the establishment of superior graduate medical educational opportunities and will be expected to have a strong background in business, leadership, and change management within the medical staff.
