Vice President of Finance Greater Charleston, SC Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be the senior financial leader, responsible for the strategic direction of the company's financial infrastructure. This includes overseeing all accounting operations, program finance, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and integrity in financial activities. The VP of Finance will also partner with executive leadership to support long-term planning, optimize financial performance, and drive operational excellence. The role involves leading the financial shared services functions, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Additionally, the VP of Finance will be involved in mentoring and managing a finance team, meeting monthly reporting deadlines, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company should have a B.S. degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years' progressive financial leadership experience, including controller-level responsibilities, is required, preferably with experience in a manufacturing environment and with companies over $100M in annual revenue. The role demands extensive knowledge of government contract accounting, FAR/DFARS, CAS, and DCAA audit environments, as well as experience with ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers. Strong leadership, team building, and execution skills are essential, along with a proven track record in financial systems integrations and a background in private equity being a plus. The VP of Finance will also be responsible for internal controls, risk management, and ensuring audit readiness.
