Executive Director

The Company seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for a professional membership organization and its charitable affiliate. Working in partnership with the board, staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders, the Executive Director will guide organizational strategy, strengthen member engagement, and advance the organization’s relevance and impact amid changes in professional services. Responsibilities include overseeing education, events, membership, technology, finance, governance, and external relations; ensuring sound financial stewardship and effective operations; and building partnerships that enhance member value. The leader will also represent the organization publicly, develop a collaborative and accountable team culture, and guide innovation and organizational change. Candidates should bring significant executive leadership experience in a membership organization, nonprofit, professional services organization, or similarly complex stakeholder environment, along with success leading growth or transformation. Strong financial, operational, strategic planning, and board partnership skills are required, as are experience building stakeholder engagement and leading teams. Experience overseeing education, conferences, membership, or professional development programs is valuable, as are excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and an inclusive, collaborative leadership style. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree or relevant professional credential is preferred.
