Executive Director, Head of Data Greater Chico, CA Area

The Company is seeking an Executive Director, Head of Data to define and lead its enterprise data strategy, operating model, governance framework, platforms, and data product portfolio. The role is accountable for building capabilities that support decision-making, operational performance, regulatory compliance, analytics, artificial intelligence, and business transformation. Responsibilities include setting a multi-year roadmap; overseeing data management, architecture, quality, governance, and operations; and partnering with business and technology leaders to align data initiatives with organizational priorities. The Executive Director will also lead investment planning, executive governance, modernization efforts, and the development of a high-performing data organization. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in data or related fields, and at least 10 years leading enterprise-scale data organizations. Required experience includes developing data strategies, governance frameworks, and operating models; delivering major modernization or transformation initiatives; and managing substantial budgets and resources. Strong executive communication and the ability to influence enterprise-wide decisions are essential. A master’s degree, experience with cloud technologies, data governance platforms, analytics, and AI environments, and relevant professional certifications are preferred; experience in regulated industries is also an advantage.
