The Company is seeking an Executive Director for University Academic Advising. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight of university-wide academic advising initiatives to enhance student success and retention. This role is pivotal in driving and aligning a shared advising model across various academic units. Key responsibilities include the development, implementation, and assessment of advising standards, protocols, and professional development programs, as well as supervising advising leadership and staff. The Executive Director will also serve as the primary liaison between advising teams, faculty, and university leadership, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, the role involves managing advising and retention software, developing early intervention strategies, and utilizing data-driven practices to improve student outcomes. Applicants must have a Master’s degree (Doctoral preferred) and at least 5 years of higher education academic advising experience, including supervision, program development, and work with special student populations. The role requires a deep knowledge of academic advising and student success initiatives, professional advising standards, and the ability to apply management and leadership techniques. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with diverse stakeholders, be adept at problem-solving, and have excellent communication skills. Responsibilities also include budget management, staff training, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to promote a culture of academic excellence and student achievement.
