About the Role
Greater Edmonton, Canada Area (Headquarter location)
The Company is seeking a Vice President, People & Culture to play a pivotal role in its ambitious transformation and growth plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the people, culture, and safety functions across the organization. This includes building a robust people organization that can support the company's expansion, from organization design to executive talent and compensation, workforce planning, talent acquisition, and leadership development. The role demands a strategic leader who can translate divisional plans into people strategies, ensure a consistent hiring process, and develop a strong employer brand. The VP will also be instrumental in succession planning, performance management, and leading the people aspects of new markets, acquisitions, and partnerships. Applicants for the Vice President, People & Culture position at the company should have a minimum of ten years' progressive HR leadership experience, with at least five years in a senior people leader role within a comparable or larger organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building a people function through rapid growth, working with a board on executive pay and succession, and multi-province employment experience. Commercial acumen, proficiency in HR technology and people analytics, and a strong interest in the evolving role of AI in HR are essential. The role requires a leader with the credibility to advise at the executive level, and a post-secondary education in HR, business, or a related field, with a preference for the CPHR designation. Success will be measured by the stability and trust of the people and culture function, the readiness of talent, succession coverage, and the growth and safety readiness of the organization.
