The Company is seeking a Managing Director for its Membrane Applications Science and Technology Center. The successful candidate will provide operational, administrative, and strategic leadership for the Center, which is part of a National Science Foundation Industry-University Cooperative Research Center. This role involves overseeing day-to-day site operations, industry engagement, member services, financial management, communications, and compliance activities. The Managing Director will also serve as the primary administrative and external relations officer, working closely with faculty investigators, industry members, university administration, and NSF stakeholders to advance the Center's research, educational, workforce development, and technology transfer missions. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in engineering, science, business, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in research administration, program management, industry engagement, business development, or higher education administration. Experience with NSF-funded research centers and a strong background in sponsored research administration and federal reporting requirements are essential. The role requires a candidate with at least 3 years of experience working effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including faculty, students, industry executives, and university administrators. Preferred qualifications include experience in industry partnership development, intellectual property, technology transfer, and commercialization processes, as well as a background in research-intensive universities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills, and be adept at strategic planning and program evaluation.
