Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to lead group-wide financial accounting and advance modern accounting processes. Responsibilities include managing and developing the accounting team; overseeing the general ledger, periodic financial statements, and timely reporting; and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements. The role also involves improving data quality, digitizing and optimizing end-to-end processes across multiple entities, and working closely with finance and business stakeholders. The Head of Accounting will serve as a key contact for auditors and support strategic finance projects, system implementations, and reporting changes. Candidates should have a degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field, along with several years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in an international corporate environment. Strong knowledge of national and international accounting standards, experience leading teams, and proficiency with ERP systems and finance processes are required. The ideal candidate is analytical, structured, solution-oriented, and quality-focused, with a hands-on approach and strong communication skills. Very good German and good written and spoken English are also required.
