Managing Director, Tax Operations Greater Grand Rapids, MI Area

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Tax Operations to lead the execution of major operational programs and enterprise initiatives within the Tax practice. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to Tax leadership, responsible for translating priorities into scalable operating models, and driving operational excellence through the strengthening of governance, and performance visibility, and the removal of execution barriers. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in strategic execution, program leadership, and the ability to influence and advise senior leaders in a collaborative, executive-facing environment. The Managing Director will also be tasked with financial and performance oversight, and will be expected to have strong leadership and influence skills to build alignment across the organization. Candidates for the Managing Director position should have a Bachelor's degree, with a focus in accounting or finance, and at least 15 years of experience in a relevant field. A CPA and PMP certification are preferred. The role demands a professional with a strong background in public accounting, professional services, or a similar complex, matrixed environment, and significant experience in leading business operations or enterprise transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to establish and improve operating models, as well as experience in governance and risk management.
