Managing Director, Global Corporates Coverage

The Company is in search of a Managing Director for Global Corporates Coverage. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the Large Corporate Banking franchise, with a specific focus on driving client acquisition, portfolio growth, and revenue generation within the Hong Kong local conglomerates and China-based corporates. Key responsibilities include developing and executing the corporate banking strategy, originating and managing relationships with major corporate groups, and identifying opportunities to grow various banking business segments. The role also involves building and maintaining C-suite level relationships, leading client engagement initiatives, and mentoring a team of relationship managers. Applicants must have a minimum of 20 years' of corporate banking experience, a proven track record in the Hong Kong and Greater China markets, and a strong background in handling complex credit facilities and cross-border transactions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience at international, regional, or leading local banks, and possess strong credit assessment, risk management, and negotiation skills. A deep knowledge of corporate banking products and an understanding of the regulatory environments in Hong Kong and the PRC are essential. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent stakeholder management abilities, who can effectively represent the company at various industry events and meetings.
