Chief Financial Officer (CFO), General Construction

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead its financial operations and support the continued growth of a general construction business. The CFO will oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and long-range planning, including work-in-progress reporting, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting. The role also includes managing banking relationships, bonding, insurance, audits, and tax coordination; strengthening financial controls and processes; and advising executive leadership on profitability, performance, and strategic initiatives. The CFO will lead and develop the finance team and contribute to capital planning and long-term business objectives. Candidates should have at least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in commercial construction, including executive-level experience with a general contractor. Required expertise includes construction accounting, WIP reporting, job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting. Applicants should also bring experience with banking, bonding, insurance, audits, and financial compliance, along with strong leadership, communication, and team-development skills. Familiarity with construction ERP systems and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field are required; a CPA designation is preferred.
