Assistant Vice President, Risk & Compliance Control

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Risk and Compliance Control. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting first-line defense risk management, ensuring compliance with banking laws, regulations, and internal policies, and facilitating the identification, assessment, measurement, and management of operational and compliance risks. Key responsibilities include analyzing and improving the control environment, initiating strong operational and compliance risk management practices, and ensuring that all relevant policies and procedures are communicated and updated. The role also involves reviewing and following up on non-compliance issues, executing the operational risk framework, and providing guidance to the business in meeting risk objectives. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years' work experience in a risk, audit, compliance, or related role, preferably within the banking sector. Essential skills for this position include in-depth knowledge of risk and control matters related to IT project and program management, an understanding of how a bank operates, and experience in audit, risk management, or compliance. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to adapt to changing demands, and a strong understanding of anti-money laundering, countering financing of terrorism, and targeted financial sanctions risk for financial institutions. The candidate should be adept at multitasking, working autonomously, and be committed to promoting a strong risk management culture.
