Vice President of Finance

The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to provide strategic guidance for its accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading core finance activities, ensuring the accuracy of reporting, and offering executive leadership valuable insights for decision-making. This role demands a professional with a strong background in construction industry finance, adept at risk management, and capable of establishing robust financial processes across multiple business entities. Key responsibilities include directing finance and accounting teams, overseeing essential accounting activities, supervising financial functions, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. The VP of Finance will also be involved in budgeting, month-end close, and delivering regular financial updates to the executive team. Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field and possess a professional accounting certification such as CPA or CMA. A minimum of 5 years' experience in finance leadership, particularly in construction accounting and financial management, is required. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in budget production, month-end close management, and delivering accurate financial reports. Knowledge of cash flow planning, operating budget management, and financial control frameworks is essential. Familiarity with construction-focused ERP or accounting platforms, as well as an understanding of surety bonding, insurance administration, and contract terms within the construction industry, is also necessary for this position.
