Interim Head of Finance

The Company is in search of an Interim Head of Finance to lead the organization through a significant period of change and renewal. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees to provide stability, strengthen financial management, and support key organizational decisions. This hands-on role involves leading the preparation of statutory year-end accounts, improving forecasting and cash flow management, and building the financial foundations to support the company's future ambitions. The Interim Head of Finance will also be responsible for producing clear financial reports, supporting financial modeling and planning, and ensuring a robust handover of processes for the future finance lead. Applicants for the Interim Head of Finance position at the company should be proactive, independent, and enjoy a mission-driven environment. The role requires a qualified accountant or substantial relevant experience, with a preference for those who have worked with accounting systems such as Xero. Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing charity accounts under the Charities SORP framework, knowledge of restricted and unrestricted funds, charity VAT, and financial controls, and a collaborative approach with the ability to work autonomously.
