Senior Legal Counsel

The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to the sales, HR, and IT departments, with a focus on commercial contract law, social and labor law, and IT-related contractual matters. This role requires a dual expertise in labor law and social law, particularly under Belgian law, and commercial law and contracts. The Senior Legal Counsel will be the sole point of contact for all labor and social law matters, providing strategic advice, managing HR disputes, and ensuring regulatory compliance. In the commercial law and contracts area, the role involves providing contractual support for commercial activities both in Belgium and internationally, across various sectors, including defense, munitions, law enforcement, hunting, and sport shooting. Applicants for this position should hold a Master's degree in Law and have approximately fifteen years of proven experience as in-house counsel or as a lawyer specializing in commercial and labor law. Experience in a regulated sector is a significant asset. The ideal candidate will be proactive, autonomous, and proficient in commercial law, labor law, and social security law, with a strong interest in information technology and its developments. Fluency in French and English is required, with proficiency in Dutch, German, or any other EU language being a plus. The role demands a pragmatic, rigorous, and business-oriented individual who can quickly identify and address business and strategic risks and challenges, and who appreciates a balance between autonomy and teamwork.
