Head of Data Platforms

The Company is seeking a Head of Data Platforms to lead a significant enterprise data transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and delivering the data platform strategy and architecture, as well as leading the migration to a modern, scalable, and secure cloud-based data environment. This role involves building and managing a high-performing data engineering and platform team, driving cloud migration and platform modernization initiatives, and ensuring robust governance, security, compliance, and data quality standards. The Head of Data Platforms will also be tasked with overseeing the decommissioning of legacy systems and delivering measurable business outcomes. Applicants for the Head of Data Platforms position at the company should have a proven track record in delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and leading large, multi-disciplinary data engineering organizations. Experience in operating within regulated environments, particularly in the financial services sector, is essential. The role requires strong skills in cloud-based data architecture, data platform design, governance, security, and compliance, as well as the ability to manage strategic technology partners and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a background in stakeholder management at the Director and executive level and be adept at third-party supplier and systems integrator management.
