Head of IT

The Company is seeking a Head of IT to provide strategic leadership and hands-on technical authority in the modernization and management of its IT function. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the IT team, as well as implementing structured performance reviews and development plans. A key aspect of the role is to ensure excellent service delivery in a fast-paced, multi-site retail environment, with a focus on maintaining a customer-first IT service culture. The Head of IT will also be tasked with scaling the IT operating model, moving performance measurement to business-impact KPIs, and setting and enforcing documentation and architecture standards. This role requires a senior IT leader with a clear engineering background, including experience in systems administration, network engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure architecture. Hands-on technical skills in hybrid cloud, virtualisation, identity and access management, endpoint management, networking, and security are essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong retail or e-commerce background, with exposure to international operations, and must be adept at managing a mixed Mac and Windows endpoint environment. Key competencies include high technical credibility, strong vendor management, pragmatic problem-solving, and the ability to translate technical details into business outcomes.
