About the Role
Greater London, United Kingdom Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Head of Legal to lead its in-house legal function and provide strategic, commercially focused advice across the development, acquisition, construction, and operation of renewable energy assets. The role serves as the principal legal adviser to senior leadership, supporting commercial decisions, risk management, and corporate governance. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commercial and project agreements, advising on land, planning, grid connections, and regulatory matters, and supporting acquisitions, disposals, and financing transactions. The successful candidate will also oversee compliance and dispute resolution, coordinate external legal advisers, and work closely with internal teams and counterparties. Candidates must be qualified solicitors in the UK or a common-law jurisdiction, with 5–10 years of post-qualification experience gained in a reputable legal practice or in-house function. Strong experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction is required, ideally in project development.
