Interim Head of Data & AI

The Company is seeking an interim Head of Data & AI to lead its global function and maintain momentum across a major data transformation programme and day-to-day operations. The role includes setting the unified data platform roadmap, strengthening data governance and quality, and moving AI use cases into production with measurable results. The successful candidate will lead a large, geographically distributed team, manage the function’s budget and platform decisions, and collaborate with engineering, architecture, and regional business leaders. Responsibilities also include prioritizing the roadmap with senior leadership, making build-versus-buy recommendations, supporting team development and retention, and preparing for a smooth transition to a permanent leader. Candidates should bring senior Data & AI leadership experience at scale, ideally leading teams of 40 or more across multiple regions, and experience operating a modern data platform such as Databricks or an equivalent. A track record of delivering AI solutions into production and demonstrating measurable value is required, along with strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills. The role calls for a strategic yet hands-on approach, experience in fast-paced environments, and the ability to lead offshore teams, ideally including teams in India. Experience with AI governance, data migration, transformation or interim leadership, and workforce-related sectors is desirable.
