The Company is seeking a senior Java engineer to design and build cross-border foreign exchange payment and custody solutions using modern, cloud-native technologies. Responsibilities include shaping system architecture, developing and testing application features, and improving software quality, automation, scalability, and delivery practices. The engineer will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate payment needs into data-driven solutions, provide third-line production support, and mentor junior team members. The role also involves documenting procedures, promoting consistent engineering practices, and contributing hands-on technical expertise across the development lifecycle. Candidates should have a master’s degree or equivalent in a STEM discipline, proven software engineering experience, and strong skills in Java, Spring, SQL, databases, messaging systems, and caching technologies. Experience with ultra-low-latency development, building or modernizing systems, and production-grade AI coding tools is required; foreign exchange knowledge is preferred. Applicants should understand software, hardware, and network systems and be able to troubleshoot complex issues. Strong communication, collaboration, and hands-on code review skills are essential; experience with container platforms or specialized financial databases is an advantage.
