Assistant Vice President, Development

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Development to provide senior leadership for fundraising programs and strategic planning for major and principal gifts. The role includes developing and implementing fundraising strategies, coordinating development activity across clinical departments, and advising leaders on donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The successful candidate will oversee donor and volunteer engagement programs, maintain a master plan of funding priorities, and develop fundraising budgets, revenue projections, and measurable work plans. Responsibilities also include managing a fundraising team, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, documenting donor activity, and tracking progress toward campaign and annual goals. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of successful experience in major or principal gift fundraising and fundraising management, ideally in higher education or healthcare. Strong oral and written communication, organization, creativity, energy, and sound independent judgment are required. The role also calls for personal integrity, a collaborative approach, and demonstrated ability to manage teams constructively. Relevant education, certifications, and work experience may be considered.
