Deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Project Director to lead its portfolio of industrial EPC projects and deputize for the COO. The role oversees projects from mobilization through commissioning and handover, while setting delivery targets and standardizing execution, reporting, and project controls. Responsibilities include managing schedules, budgets, resources, subcontractors, contract changes, claims, billing, cash collection, and project margins. The successful candidate will also lead health, safety, environmental, and quality performance; maintain senior client and stakeholder relationships; support tender reviews and business development; and develop project leadership teams. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; an MBA or PMP certification is preferred. The role requires 20–25 years of industrial EPC experience, including at least eight years leading projects or a project portfolio, with a record of delivering large metals and mining projects and managing multiple sites. Strong expertise in EPC commercial management, claims and variations, earned-value project controls, construction methods, and HSE leadership is essential. Experience with Primavera P6 and SAP, along with the ability to lead teams, negotiate effectively, and uphold governance and compliance standards, is also required.
