The Company is seeking a Vice President for Data Engineering with a strong background in data platform engineering, AI engineering, and technical and people leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading engineering teams in the design and implementation of enterprise data platforms, cloud-native data services, and modern data architectures. This role requires a focus on driving scalable, secure, and resilient data engineering solutions, particularly on Microsoft Azure, and ensuring operational excellence and platform availability. The VP will also lead the engineering for AI platforms, MLOps, and the delivery of data products that support analytics and AI across the firm. Candidates for this role at The Company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in software, data, or platform engineering, with a proven track record of leading large engineering organizations and delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms. Technical expertise in Azure, Databricks, Spark, Data Lakes, SQL, Python, and cloud-native engineering is essential, as is a strong understanding of AI engineering, MLOps, DevOps, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. The role demands a technically astute leader with excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, who is passionate about coaching engineers and building high-performing teams. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with an advanced degree and Azure certifications being preferred.
