Vice President, Continental Programs & Technical Advisory

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Continental Programs and Technical Advisory. This senior leadership role is pivotal in the conception, financing, and delivery of major continental or regional flagship programs that address systemic constraints in agri-food systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating continental ambitions into executable initiatives, building and leading a team of technical experts, and ensuring that programs are aligned with the strategic priorities of the African Union, regional economic communities, and national governments. The role demands a high level of professional and technical expertise, with a focus on thought leadership, and a commitment to the values of the organization. Candidates for the Vice President position should have a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with at least 20 years' experience in agrifood systems, economic development, or related areas. A strong background in senior executive leadership, particularly in the African context, is essential. The role requires a proven track record in program delivery, partnership building, and a deep understanding of the political and economic landscape of the continent. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to make difficult decisions, and a commitment to the values of the organization. Professional proficiency in French and additional African languages is highly valued.
