Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take on a pivotal role in leading its accounting and finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and maintaining strong banking relationships. This hands-on CFO will also be involved in audit support and financial planning, and must be adept at improving reporting discipline and bringing structure to a lean finance team. The role demands a practical CFO who can operate both strategically and in the details, with a focus on inventory, costing, gross margins, working capital, and cash forecasting. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a proven track record in executive finance leadership within a manufacturing, consumer products, or inventory-driven business. A CPA is preferred, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial statement preparation, monthly close management, and experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and margin analysis. The role also requires proficiency in working with banks and lenders, leading audit preparation, and a history of effective partnership with outside accounting firms. The CFO will be expected to operate hands-on in a lean finance organization while providing strategic guidance, and prior experience in mergers and acquisitions is a plus. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel-based financial reporting is essential, particularly in environments that demand process improvement and structure.
