The Company is in search of a Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead the strategic development and implementation of a comprehensive talent strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and values. The CPO will be responsible for all aspects of the people function, including talent acquisition, development, performance management, and fostering a culture of equity and belonging. This role demands a leader with a proven track record in modernizing HR systems, building effective performance management and talent development strategies, and a deep commitment to social justice and racial equity. The ideal candidate will be an empowering culture leader, a trusted relationship builder, and an innovative systems thinker, capable of leading a team and partnering with the executive leadership to ensure the organization's people strategy supports its growth and impact. Key responsibilities for the CPO at the company include serving as a strategic thought partner to the executive team, owning workforce planning, and leading change management strategies. The successful candidate will also be tasked with modernizing HR infrastructure, establishing strong governance and compliance processes, and building a high-performing people team. A collaborative, enterprise-wide mindset and the ability to build strong partnerships across various functions are essential. While experience in the education or nonprofit sector is beneficial, it is not required. The CPO will play a pivotal role in the organization's next chapter, with a focus on attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent to support the educational and social mission of the company.
