About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to provide dynamic leadership and management for its local association. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors to set and implement program priorities, ensure operational compliance, and manage the association's fiscal and human resources. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a commitment to being a strong physical presence in the community to build and maintain relationships. The Executive Director will also be responsible for strategic planning, program evaluation, and maintaining a diverse range of revenue streams to support the association's educational and community-focused initiatives. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Master's degree and a minimum of 6 years' related experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role. A PhD may substitute for 1 year of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more of the key issues relevant to the company's mission, such as agriculture and food systems, community and economic vitality, or youth development. Essential skills include leadership, strategic thinking, judgment, change management, business acumen, problem-solving, and people management. The role also requires a valid driver's license, the ability to work flexible hours, and proficiency in Windows-based software. Preferred qualifications include experience in public or nonprofit leadership and a demonstrated knowledge of fund development and grants.
