Senior Associate General Counsel, Insurance & Litigation Management

The Company is seeking a Senior Associate General Counsel to oversee its captive insurance operations, organization-wide litigation, and insurance program. Responsibilities include working with the captive’s board and external insurance stakeholders, preparing board and audit materials, managing reserves and claims reporting, and overseeing insurance renewals and placements across multiple coverage lines. The role also involves directing malpractice and general liability litigation, including outside counsel, case strategy, mediations, settlements, and trials. The successful candidate will support risk management and advise senior leaders and board members on litigation, insurance, and reputational risks. Candidates must hold a JD and have at least 15 years of legal practice experience. Significant litigation experience and experience managing medical malpractice and general liability insurance are preferred, along with knowledge of captive insurance programs and other insurance lines. Experience overseeing outside counsel, reviewing legal billing, and managing external stakeholders is also valued. Strong communication, judgment, business acumen, and the ability to build trusted relationships and manage competing priorities are essential.
