The Company is seeking a Vice President for Assessment Design and Development to lead a pivotal transformation in K-12 large-scale assessments. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of redefining what is measured in assessments, shifting from traditional academic knowledge to include durable and career-relevant skills in an AI-rich world. This role demands a strategic vision and leadership to sustain operational excellence, scale assessment content development, and champion the design of new assessment products. The Vice President will be responsible for aligning senior stakeholders, including the CEO and President, and will play a key role in shaping the company's external reputation as a thought leader in the future of assessment. Candidates for this role should have a proven track record of at least 10 years in large-scale assessment design and development, with a focus on the future of work and assessments. Expertise in psychometrics and a deep understanding of the principles governing sound assessment are essential. The role requires a leader with experience in driving significant transformation, sustaining high-volume, deadline-driven operations, and conceiving new assessment designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong executive presence, the ability to influence at the C-suite level, and a commitment to the mission of expanding educational and career opportunities. A collaborative and empathetic approach, as well as a passion for emerging technologies and a learner's mindset, are also key attributes for this position.
