Greater New York City, NY Area (Hybrid - Headquarter location)
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Data Products and Platform Lead to take on a pivotal role in defining, governing, and delivering core investment data. The successful candidate will be the founding lead for data products and platform, responsible for establishing a robust data work roadmap and ensuring that the firm's data is trusted, shared, and governed. This hands-on position involves standing up the first real intake and prioritization for data work, reconciling divergent data definitions, and owning the data-product lifecycle. The role also requires a strong focus on engineering and delivery, including building and shipping data products, and driving adoption of the shared data layer. As a player-coach, the VP will be expected to write production code, set product direction, and lead a small data team. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' experience in data, with a proven track record in both data engineering and data product ownership. Deep knowledge of buy-side and asset-management data domains is essential, as is expertise in SQL, Python, and modern data stack technologies. The role demands a leader with strong communication skills, the ability to mentor and build a data team, and experience in a regulated environment. Familiarity with ETF and 1940-Act fund data, as well as experience with AI-assisted engineering and data governance, is also required. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of translating between business, compliance, and engineering, and will be instrumental in the firm's data-driven decision-making processes.
