Vice President, Excess Casualty Broker

Greater New York City, NY Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Vice President for its Excess Casualty team. The successful candidate will be part of a premier national practice, specializing in the representation of buyers of primary and umbrella/excess liability. The role involves utilizing risk expertise to review client exposures and loss experiences, and to develop tailored solutions. The VP will serve as a trusted advisor, lead the marketing process, manage the placement lifecycle, and build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and underwriters. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to support client retention and the development of innovative risk solutions. Applicants for the Vice President position should have a minimum of 7 years' of relevant insurance P&C business experience, with a demonstrated expertise in various casualty lines. A strong understanding of casualty risks and carrier appetites, as well as broad relationships with carriers in the P&C business, is required. The role demands excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, along with a Property and Casualty Brokers License, is also necessary. The ideal candidate will be adept at providing market insights, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring compliance with best practices.
