The role also involves coordinating with outside counsel and business groups, as well as interacting closely with institutional client solutions and other stakeholders. Key responsibilities include negotiating and drafting various fund documents, managing fund closings, and driving the closing processes to completion. Applicants must have a minimum of 6 years' experience in fund formation law, with a background as an in-house fund formation lawyer or from a law firm with a fund formation practice. Technical experience and a strong understanding of closed-end private funds are essential, and experience with open-ended private funds is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a strong issue spotter, practical thinker, and problem solver, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple business lines and with diverse stakeholder groups.
