Vice President of Finance, Life Reinsurance

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead key accounting and financial reporting activities for a growing life reinsurance business. Responsibilities include overseeing US GAAP reporting and close processes, assessing the accounting implications of new transactions, and analyzing balance sheet movements and financial performance. The role will strengthen financial controls, governance, and reporting processes while supporting regulatory requirements and improving accounting systems and procedures. The Vice President will collaborate with actuarial, risk, operations, and finance teams, advise senior leadership, and help develop a scalable finance function. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial reporting within life insurance, life reinsurance, or a related financial services environment. A CPA qualification is strongly preferred and considered essential, along with strong US GAAP expertise and experience with complex financial statements and significant balance sheets in regulated organizations. Knowledge of life insurance products, reinsurance structures, and transaction accounting is important; experience with statutory or Bermuda regulatory reporting is an advantage. The ideal candidate has improved accounting processes and controls, can handle complex technical matters, and brings a proactive, commercially minded approach.
