Head of Pet Food R&D

The Company is seeking a Head of Pet Food R&D to lead a five-person team and oversee product development from concept through launch. Responsibilities include developing dog and cat food products, managing reformulations and ingredient substitutions in response to supply chain changes, and supporting the existing portfolio. The role combines team leadership and project oversight with hands-on technical and manufacturing work. The successful candidate will coordinate closely with factory, production, quality assurance, and industrial teams to support product development and manufacturing. Candidates should have hands-on experience in pet food research and development, product formulation, or product development, including reformulation, ingredient substitution, and manufacturing support. Experience working directly with factory, production, and quality assurance teams is required. People management experience is an advantage, though demonstrated readiness to lead a team will also be considered. Relevant backgrounds include pet food manufacturing, companion animal nutrition, or veterinary nutrition.
