The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's financial leadership and long-term sustainability. The CFO will be responsible for building and managing the budget and multi-year financial plans, ensuring the financial health of the organization, and leading the finance side of the company's separation. This senior leader will oversee a budget of more than $200 million, lead finance, accounting, payroll, compliance, and real estate functions, and partner with the CEO and the Board's Finance and Audit Committees. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to align financial resources with academic and organizational priorities, maximize and diversify revenue, and maintain a structurally balanced budget. The CFO will also be involved in capital-markets activities, and real estate transactions, and will lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of financial discipline and understanding. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive finance leadership experience, with a strong preference for those who have served in a CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent senior finance role. Deep knowledge of nonprofit accounting and public-sector finance, particularly in the California K-12 or charter school sector, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial modeling, FP&A, and experience with ERP and accounting systems. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a CPA and/or MBA being preferred. The CFO must be adept at enterprise partnership, making evidence-based decisions, and be committed to identifying and interrupting inequitable practices. The role demands a leader who can build and develop a high-performing finance team, and who is dedicated to the mission of the organization and the success of its scholars.
