About the Role
Greater Ottawa, Canada Area (Headquarter location)
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of providing Inuit-specific programs that enhance the health and well-being of the Inuit community. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organization's strategic direction, program oversight, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. This includes managing the administration, fundraising, marketing, and community outreach efforts. The Executive Director will also ensure that the organization's operations align with Inuit values and priorities, as well as lead the Board in achieving the organization's mission. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a background in business or public administration, with a preference for an undergraduate or master's degree. A minimum of 5 years' senior management experience in not-for-profit, multi-funded, program-based organizations is required, along with a proven track record in generating revenue and establishing influential relationships. Experience working with a Board of Directors and a strong understanding of Inuit culture and values are essential. The role demands excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team environment. Fluency in English is required, and fluency in Inuktitut is an asset.
